Trysail offers a more personal sailing experience for you, your family and friends. As we can only take 5 passengers you have the opportunity to get involved with the sailing of the yacht and take the helm under the expert guidance of your skipper should you wish to do so. Alternatively just sit back and enjoy the view.
The hour long trip starts at Mermaid Quay and sails across to the Cardiff Barrage, an impressive feat of engineering with its fish gates and 3 locks. We then drop sail and motor gently along the River Ely to the Olympic Canoe & Rafting Centre. At this point we turn and head back to Mermaid Quay via Cardiff Bay Wetlands Reserve. During the trip there are plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife maybe a heron taking a fish or the resident swans with their cygnets.
Evenings give you the chance to charter the yacht for a longer sailing experience. Plan a route with your skipper and enjoy a two and a half hour sail personalised for you. This would be an ideal gift for a birthday or anniversary.
